| Feature |
Description |
| Action Tracking Module: |
A task management utility that allows action items to be entered
directly, imported, or automatically generated, based on pre-defined business
rules. Action items are tracked to completion through email reminders and
built-in workflow process business rules. |
| Workflow Management: |
A comprehensive visual workflow that guides the user through a
step-by-step process. The ioXpress workflow engine is based upon prevalent
industry norms and best practices. This workflow engine can easily and
cost-effectively be configured to conform to a site’s specific procedures. |
| Document Libraries: |
Document repository that integrates custom user interfaces based on
the security and access privileges of the user. It incorporates all document
attributes and communication vehicles such as document versioning,
check-in/out, email, and document sharing with outside users. The ability to
link documents to each other and to dynamic forms makes the organization of
common or related data very efficient. |
| Dynamic Forms Modules: |
Dynamic forms engine is equipped with the capability to create
dynamic forms to facilitate data input and linking to documents and other data
objects in the digital library. These forms provide a practical and efficient
infrastructure to capture and manage information such as engineering (including
basic process data, calculations, and specification sheets) and business data.
Dynamic Forms Modules are easy to create and can be populated with multiple
field (data) types. Dynamic Forms Modules are also easy to search, print, copy,
email, and export to Excel™.
Dynamic Forms Modules become more powerful with the ioXpress Workflow and
business rules engine. The ioXpress Workflow management of change (MOC) module
is an excellent example of a Dynamic Forms Module with workflow. The ioXpress
Workflow MOC module guides the user through a visual step-by-step process for
standard MOC functions. Specific features can be configured for virtually any
client-specific specifications. |
| Reporting: |
ioXpress has a powerful reporting engine, supported by Microsoft™ SQL Reporting
Services. There are two types of ioXpress reports: pre-defined and general
reports. Predefined reports are customized based on user-specific needs while
general reports are intended for users to build on their own. The reports are
easily exported into other commonly used document formats such as PDF, HTML,
Excel, TIFF, CSV, and XML. |
| Communication: |
There are three main ioXpress forms of communication:
-
Emails can be sent to all active users on the system and are sent to notify
individuals that they need to take some action to advance the workflow or
complete an action item.
-
The news and broadcast feature allows anyone to post news on the homepage to
inform users up front about recent events.
-
Forum is a central discussion utility that can be customized to engage a
specific group or companywide for certain discussion topics.

| Multiple Site Configuration: |
ioXpress can be configured for multiple facility locations. This
flexible configurability enables companies to implement common workflow
processes that meet site specific needs. |
